Using this palette
Zero hue by design — these five are pure neutrals evenly spaced in lightness, which is a genuinely different design decision from a 'muted' palette that's desaturated but still hue-biased. That neutrality is the whole value proposition: it puts every design decision onto typography, spacing, and imagery instead of color, which is why it's the default choice for portfolio sites, editorial layouts, and photography-forward brands where color would compete with the content itself. #0A0A0A on #FAFAFA clears AAA easily; #808080 is right at the edge for large text only, not body copy — treat it strictly as a border/disabled-state tone.
