Using this palette
The trick with a water palette is resisting the urge to make everything saturated — real shallow ocean water is pale near the shore and only gets rich in the deep channel, which is why four of these five hexes are light and only #03045E carries real weight. Use #0077B6 as the workhorse brand blue for buttons and headers, #48CAE4 for hover/active states, and reserve #03045E for body text or a footer band where you need actual contrast. #CAF0F8 makes a good page background — it's close enough to white to not fight content, but warmer than a flat #FFFFFF.
